The lack of thyroid hormone, a condition known hypothyroidism, can lead to severe symptoms, including weight gain, tiredness, irritability, dry skin, brittle nails, hair loss, depression and headaches. It can even increase your odds for a stroke or heart attack.

To restart your thyroid you should combine iodized salt and selenium rich foods such as:
-Fish (wild salmon, halibut, sardines, flounder)
-Shellfish (oysters, mussels, shrimp, clams, scallops)
-Meat (Beef, liver, lamb, pork)
-Poultry (chicken, turkey)
-Eggs (up to 3 per day)
-Mushrooms (button, crimini, shiitake)
-Whole grains (wheat germ, barley, brown rice, oats)
