Harvard Scientist Urges People To Stop Drinking “Low-Fat” Milk

Dairy products have numerous benefits for the body, however, they can be more dangerous for the health than most of the people initially believe. According to a Harvard researcher David Ludwig, unlike organic and unprocessed, vegan dairy products the standard dairy products represent a serious threat to our health.

Ludwig published his work explaining why those artificially sweetened beverages cause harm to our organism.

Consumption of that kind of beverages can lead to diabetes, obesity, inflammatory-related pain, and other issues. An official medical institution in the United States, such as US Department of Agriculture, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and other organizations are strongly supportive of the idea that sugary drinks should be avoided.

However, the officials approved only one product of that group, the reduced-fat milk, of course, in a limited amount no more than 3 cups per day, which is not supported by Ludwig.

He thinks that the suggestion to drink three cups a day of milk is the most prevailing advice given to the American public and the people are consuming tons of milk a year, believing that their bones would crumble without them.

Ludwig is surprised that the reduced-fat milk is approved for consumption, but other artificially sweetened drinks are not, even there is no difference between their side effects. According to him, that is the reason why it is important to avoid completely all beverages of this sort and added sugars in general.

He emphasized that the worst possible beverage of this group is the reduced-fat chocolate milk, which is very low in calcium, so he suggested to get cooked kale, sardines, nuts seeds beans, green leafy vegetables, which are better sources of calcium.

In addition, certain fats, such as trans-fats and refined polyunsaturated fats in vegetable oils are better to avoid.

Additionally, full-fat dairy products are recommended for drinking, as they are proven to absorb more vitamins to the body, boost the human health, regulate diabetes, promote weight loss and reduce cancer symptoms.

According to Ludwig, the pure dairy products are far healthier than conventional dairy products.

In the future everyone should be careful to read dairy products labels, paying attention to the number of harmful ingredients they bring along. You’ll realize that milk will never look the same afterward.
