Eating Only 2 Pieces of THIS Increases Your Risk of Pancreatic Cancer


Stay away from processed meats.  It is that simple.  Processed meats, such as bacon or sausage, have direct links to cancer and in particular to pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all cancers.  It is not an easy cancer to cure and needs to be caught very early.  It spreads rapidly and is often not detected in the early stages.  Over 90% of pancreatic cancer patients die within five years of diagnosis.  Over 70% die within the first year of diagnosis.

The statistics are not good. 

What are the symptoms of pancreatic cancer?

  • Sudden weight loss
  • Abdominal pain
  • Change in stool
  • Blood clots
  • Back pain
  • Loss of appetite
  • Yellow skin
  • Yellow eyes

Pancreatic cancer can also be genetic and family history may play a role in the disease. Smoking, diabetes, obesity and age all have links too.

Eating two pieces of processed meats can cause this cancer

Stay away from processed foods, in particular processed meats.  Data has been taken from clinical trials involving over 6500 patients with cancer of the pancreas.  Case reports show overwhelming evidence linking the cancer to processed meats. 

In fact, studies show that for every 50 grams of processed meat a day (two slices of a sandwich ham or two slices of bacon) the risk of pancreatic cancer goes up by 19%.

And if you eat 150 grams (six strips of bacon) the risk increases to over 55%.

What can you do?

The World Cancer Research Fund has advised people to avoid processed meats.  These include sausages, bacon, ham, hot dogs and any smoked meat.  They all contain nitrates which have been linked closely to cancer.

Avoid smoking too, eat organic, eat raw and fresh and follow a diet high in nutrients and minerals.
